SPECIAL: 10% DISCOUNT ON ALL NEW BOOKINGS FOR 3 NIGHTS OR MORE DURING MARCH TO JUNE 2012
Ithaca House is a
beautifully presented and ideally located cottage,
oozing period charm combined with the functionality and
conveniences of present day. Just a short stroll to the
Sunday Market and the Main Street of Daylesford,
relaxing and indulgent weekends in this Daylesford cottage are most definitely the
flavour of every month.
The entire property is yours exclusively for the duration of your stay so you can plan a private getaway for you and a few friends or family.
The Victorian period character
of this weatherboard cottage still shines through amidst
the tasteful renovations. The facade sports the classic
cottage verandah and the building adheres to the
symmetry of a central front door and
hallway with similar rooms either side. All four bedrooms have original baltic pine floorboards polished to a beautiful lustre, and Victorian mantelpieces and fire grates (not in service). The two front bedrooms overlook the verandah to the garden.
The house has been extended at
the rear to include a cosy sitting room with a wood fire, two stylish modern bathrooms,
plus a laundry, and a large open plan living space that incorporates a contemporary kitchen with stainless steel counter tops. Parked at the island bench are four ultra modern stools, but there is also an 8-seater dining suite.
The living area has glass doors opening out to an attractively landscaped courtyard furnished with a barbecue and table setting for outdoor entertaining.
Enjoy a Daylesford Culinary Adventure
Being in easy walking proximity
to Daylesford's gourmet icons is a great advantage when
it comes to enjoying the culinary experience for which
the town is widely acclaimed. Ithaca House is a stone's
throw from two of Daylesford's most popular foodie
spots, Cliffy's and the Mercato Restaurant. The Sunday
Market is also too close to think of using the car. The
Convent Gallery is 500m, The Farmers Arms (considered by
many to be the best pub restaurant in the town) and the
Main Street of Daylesford (Vincent Street) are not much
further. Lake House Restaurant is all of 2km. So great
coffee, dining and local produce treats are only minutes
away. |
